Substance Use Policy Guide for ASOs

This Policy Guide & Template is intended to support ASO leaders to build successful policies and best practices that will enhance the capacity of our sector to meaningfully involve people with lived experience of substance use in the effective delivery of all ASO services and programs. It includes a Policy Template that begins with an overview of the purpose of the Template and a list of definitions, and then breaks down into 5 areas of practice including:  Employing people who use substances; Human Resources Management, Support for staff, Peers and other volunteers with lived experience of substance use; Performance and Relationships.  It is evidence informed and has been developed specifically for the ASO environment.
